Overview
A professional and structured
course covering Tai Chi teaching skills, refinement,
Qi Theory and Qigong. Held over two years. The
small group (max 11 people) will ensure quaility
of training and the course will give you the training
you need to teach proficiently with ongoing support
to develop your own practice.

Methods
Teaching workshops, modules on Qi Theory,
specific training on teaching Tai Chi. Written
assignments.
Teachers
Tai Chi and Qigong: Matthew Rochford (Director
of The School, 17 years experience) assisted by
Chris Waters (11 years experience) and Joe Salmon
(11 years experience).
Chi Theory: Michael Potter and Mark Edlund Plater
(highly experienced and qualified practitioners
of Chinese Medicine).
Curriculum
Covers 24 Posture Compact Form (BCCMA Simplified
Yang Style Tai Chi), 18 Movement Tai Chi Qigongand
Cheng Man Ching 37 Posture Form (Short Form),
Qi Theory, Ethics, Teaching Skills. A detailed
course handbook is sent out prior to the start
of the course.

Requirements
Completion of our Foundation Certificate/Summer
School or 3 years relevant experience.
An informal interview and assessment may be required.

Residential
or non residential?
Residential options are available for dates at
Ruggadon Barn or a nearby b&b (bed and breakfast,
from £30 pppn). July dates are all residential
places only at Sharpham House
(full board, included in your fee)
Venues
Ruggadon barn is a beautiful converted barn in
the Countryside near Lanscove (just off the A38
at Ashburton). Sharpham House is a newly refurbished
Grade One listed building outside Totnes. Connections
to both venues are good via road or train.

To book a deposit of £200 is required to
secure your place with the remainder payable in
two instalments on the 24th July and 20th September.
