 About Tai Chi and Qigong
Tai Chi is a practice of meditation within movement, a series of movements performed in a slow relaxed and harmonised way. It is the Taoist Path to mental, physical, and spiritual well-being as well as being a powerful ‘internal’ martial art. (the Tai Chi Classics talk about overcoming the strong and hard by the gentle and soft).
  • Tai Chi Chuan is the full name of Tai Chi, and literally means Great Ultimate Fist or Hand
  • The gentle nature of Tai Chi Chuan makes it suitable for people all ages and ability

Qigong means "skill with inner vitality" and is characterised by flowing movements often harmonised with breathing. The effects of Qigong include: freedom from stress, increased flow of Qi in and around the body and a peaceful state of mind.
